SPECTRUM – SPECTRUM 2 / OPTICAL SUNRISE
Original Japanese LP released by Victor in 1980.
Excellent Japanese funk, disco, boogie and brass-rock album from SPECTRUM, a band often associated with the powerful horn-driven sound of Earth, Wind & Fire.
Includes “IN THE SPACE,” a killer Japanese disco/funk cut featuring a percussion break on the album version, making this LP particularly interesting for DJs, beat diggers and Japanese rare groove collectors.
Also includes “SUNRISE,” one of SPECTRUM’s best-known tracks, famously associated with professional wrestler Stan Hansen’s entrance theme.
The opening track “MOTION” features lyrics written by Keisuke Kuwata of Southern All Stars.
