Description

SPENCER DAVIS GROUP
A: Gimme Some Lovin'
B: When I Come Home
[ISLAND, WIP 5001, SWEDEN]

Amazing M- condition RARE uniquely picture sleeved Sweden 45 release from 1967 of the second and far superior version of "Gimme Some Lovin'" which wasn't released as a 45 in the UK. The UK released version on Fontana is a lot wimpier and sounds almost "hollow" when compared to the full-on assault of the version included on the 45 up for grabs here (this version was also used as the 7" version in the US), it is MUCH beefier, louder organ sound, with added percussion and has got a more intense vocal take. Have a listen below! Totally essential mod dancer that always packs the dancefloor.

Sleeve condition: M-
Vinyl condition: M-

SOUNDCLIP:

Double-click on the "play" button above to listen to SOUND CLIPS of both sides! If the player above doesn't work, click HERE to listen to the MP3.
