Description

SPENCER DAVIS GROUP
A: Gimme Some Lovin'
B: When I Come Home
[ISLAND, WIP 5001, SWEDEN]

RARE uniquely picture sleeved Sweden 45 release from 1967 of the alternative and far superior version of "Gimme Some Lovin'" which wasn't released as a 45 in the UK. The UK released version on Fontana is a lot wimpier and sounds almost "hollow" when compared to the FULL-ON ASSAULT of the version included on the 45 up for grabs here, it is MUCH heavier with louder organ sound, added percussion and has got a more intense vocal take. Have a listen below! Totally essential mod dancer that always packs the dancefloor.

Sleeve condition: VG+ (1,5cm tear at top, 2cm bottom seam split, minor tipp-ex)

Vinyl condition: EX- (very light hairlines, plays superb, listen!)
