Description
Here we have a near pristine copy of The Second Album by The Spencer Davis Group on the Fontana label in glorious, room-filling Mono from way back in 1966. The front cover is laminated with Clarifoil I believe, while the pasted on back liner notes over the triple flip-back announce that this is AN ISLAND RECORD PRODUCTION. There is a little grubbiness on the back but nothing too terrible. There appears to have been a bit of a bump on the bottom left corner on the front as there is some slight wrinkling there under the lamination. The vinyl is nice and thick with a slight wobble if you give it a shake, and bears the dead wax matrices 687362 1L//1(triangle)420 on the A side and the same save for 2L on the other. The sound quality is beautiful and I doubt very much that a better copy could be found anywhere else today. There is very minimal marking around the centre holes an the matt, rough textured labels. A real time capsule from forty-five years ago, come and have a look.
