This is one of the true psych jewels from The Netherland. We are talking about ST. GILES's SYSTEM 'SWEDISH TEARS'.
They came from Vlissingen and started in 1966 and broke up in 1969. 'Swedish Tears'is a true psych killer. It starts with a weird intro after that the best song you ever heard!!! In the USA they liked this songs so much that it appeared on the 5 singles box "psychedelic dungeon' with bands like Pink Floyd, Pretty things, Elmer Granty's Velvet oper etc. Most of those recordings were live but here's the studio ORIGINAL. Hans Jurgen Klitsch ( german beat prog magazine Hartbeat) wrote ""I saw The St. Giles's System in Germany 1969 and they were an amazing powerful ling haired bunch of Hard Rock before the term was vogue, mongers with a singer that would strip to the waist and then take this ding out! 1000 copies were pressed in 1968 in Holland . THIS IS THE EVEN HARDER TO FIND ORIGINAL BELGIUM PRESSING!!!
