Here are two red-hot, 1927 jazz numbers, done to a turn by THE DIXIE STOMPERS, a.k.a. FLETCHER HENDERSON AND HIS ORCHESTRA. They instrumentally assault Handy's perennial "ST. LOUIS BLUES," and the "Fats" Waller composition, "VARIETY STOMP."
JUST LOOK at the heavy hitters on this band: TOMMY LADNIER (cornet), JIMMY HARRISON (trombone), COLEMAN HAWKINS (tenor sax), BUSTER BAILEY (clarinet) DON REDMAN (alto sax), JUNE COLE (tuba) FLETCHER HENDERSON (piano), CHARLIE DIXON (banjo), "KAISER" MARSHALL (drums). What a formidable bunch! Holy crap!
This by far is some of the hottest music ever to turn up on the budget, still-acoustic, Harmony label.
This original 1927 Harmony 407-H is fundamentally in clean E condition, except for a few deep scratches which do sound.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value. I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will! Shipping is done with expert care.
