Sankte Mikael:Visions of a Trespasser (Sweden/Home Made Records/1989)
Psych collectors have for a long time been seeing the Xotic Mind original press of 150 copies of this Swedish psychster's debut LP with the handmade paste-on covers.
What I am offering here is the true 1st version of this masterful modern psychedelic opus that was produced a year before the Xotic Mind in a limited pressing 15 copies. Each copy comes with a set of green xeroxed slicks that are totally unique to this original issue.
This is the second rarest St. Mikael record (the Visions box set being the rarest). This version was only ever publicly offered once, in a Paul Major catalog in the late 90s; all other copies were sold privately (I don't know how many survive). I offered this here earlier this year, but no one had an adventerous enough soul to take a serious shot at owning this gem. I'll give you all one more chance before I regain my senses and lock it back in the vault. This is 10 times rarer than the Xotic Mind press, but my reserve is much less than 10 times that release's current value of over $200.
The copies came in a plain white cover with the 2 slicks loose. It was in a plastic outer bag with the St. Mikael Visions of a Trespasser sticker (same one used for the 150 press) adhered to the bag. The labels are plain white, except that his name and "label" have been hand-written on one side in pink marker (see scan). The few copies I've seen are all like this.
The cover of this copy has been customized. The slicks have been pasted onto a plain white gatefold cover. The inside of the gatefold has color xeroxes of the Xotic Mind front & back covers glued in. There is also a xerox of the lyric sheet included in the XM press.
The constructed cover is in very nice shape. There are some glue stains inside and outside, but they don't detract from the overall look (if anything they add to the DIY ambiance of the cover). The corners of the gatefold cover used are slightly banged up. The original green slicks are in excellent condition. The record looks and plays Mint minus.
Priority insured (for U.S. ) or airmail shipping (for international) will be included at no extra charge. This will be shipped in a Bags Unlimited mailing box with filler pads for protection.
