Original Mono issue on Colunbia……NOT a reissue on the Steam label…..

This album was inspired by the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and is Stan's classic original recording of ‘Under Milk Wood” from 1965 --itself regarded as a masterpiece in it's own right.

Side two of the record is very good with light paper lines, not too serious. Side one has some visible marks so an occasional pop is audible….but the jazz cuts through OK.

Sadly, Stan, Jeff and Jackie have now gone to that big gig in the sky…..this album is a reminder of a landmark British jazz group.
