STRICTLY GRADED

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc. ... are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Notes : music and orchestra Stanley Wikson. The courting, the fights for jealousy and the initiation rituals of love in some of the earth’s isolated and distant spots not easily reached in 1959 as nowadays in a score which cleverly harmonizes the traditional folk  sounds with the music of Western and modern taste. In short Oriental, African obscure exotic music and songs are been channelled into a modern melodic structure.
