Description

Available here is a wonderful holiday collectible LP: "Christmas in the Stars" - the STAR WARS CHRISTMAS ALBUM, from 1980! This LP was released on RSO Records (RS-1-3093), and it is in very nice condition.  Note that this LP includes an original Star Wars Fan Club insert with an invitation to join the official fan club.

The LP features recordings of Star Wars-themed Christmas songs and stories about a droid factory where the robots make toys year-round for "S. Claus".

Much of the album is sung and narrated by British actor Anthony Daniels, reprising his role as C-3PO from the Star Wars films. Sound designer Ben Burtt also provided sound effects for R2-D2 and Chewbacca. The album was produced by Meco Monardo (who had previously recorded Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk).

The album is notable for featuring the first professional recording Jon Bon Jovi (credited as "John Bongiovi", his birth name), who sang lead vocals on the song "R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas." His cousin Tony Bongiovi co-produced the album and ran the recording studio at which it was recorded, where Jon was working sweeping floors at the time.

The vinyl is in VG+ shape, very glossy with only a handful of (light) surface marks.  The cover is also in VG+ shape with just a bit of wear on a couple edges, and no seam splits. There is a small stain on the back cover, bottom left corner (see photos). Both labels are in great shape.
