STATUS QUO “Spare Parts” 1969 Canadian Pye Records UK Prog Psych NM

1969/Canada/Pye Records NSPL-18301….. here’s a clean original Canadian pressing of this rare UK psych lp. The cover is in nice VG+ to VG++ condition with a delete hole top right corner, there is light corner wear, light shelf wear mainly at the bottom and a bit at the top of the cover, light crease top right, otherwise the cover looks solid clean with no splits. The vinyl is in NM like new condition. Maybe played a couple of times previously. This is a very nice copy of this rare lp! Please check my auctions for other rock and psych lp’s. Spare Parts is the second album by the English rock band Status Quo, and the final one in the psychedelic vein. It is also the first in which the group's roadie Bob Young began writing and co-writing songs for and with the band. The album covers a song written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin, "You're Just What I Was Looking for Today". Only one song was slated for a single release. This was the Anthony King written song "Are You Growing Tired of My Love", backed with the Alan Lancaster composition "So Ends Another Life". Released in April 1969 it reached no. 46 in UK singles charts. The album was released in September 1969 but wasn't a commercial success.

GRADING

MINT: I consider only New Unplayed or Sealed items.

NM OR M- or Mint Minus is the same to me, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.

EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have a few minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
