One of the most difficult to find Stax LP's...Most collections are missing this...
Stax LP 702 Treasured Hits From The South - Presented By Nick Charles
Scarce in any condition. One went a few months back for $550 on eBay. Numerically this is the next Stax LP in their catalog after Green Onions by Booker T & the MG's, which was Stax LP 701. Also, Gus Cannon's rare Walk Right In LP also used the same catalog number Stax LP 702, however Gus Cannon does not appear on this collection.
See the pictures for a listing of titles. Unusual LP in that it uses not only Stax tracks but some lifted from Sun, Phillips and Fernwood. Maybe that's part of why it's so rare. Interesting liner notes. Cover features the Memphis State University mascot and "cheerleaders and football players". Unlikely that this sold anywhere outside the local area.

Cover: VG++ Superb with NO wear, writing, holes, cut-out evidence, seam splits.
Vinyl: VG Careful play with just light hairlines/scuffs - Nothing that can be felt. Few very light spindle marks on label.
