Description

This is a tremendous prog psych LP from a band from Worthing, Sussex called Steamhammer entitled 'Mountains'. It is their third album from the year 1970 and is a wonderful prog/psych recording with top quality musicianship. This LP was released originally on the UK B&C label. This is an original UK stereo pressing with the same logo. The catalogue no. is CAS 1024. 

OUTER SLEEVE - The gatefold sleeve is an original which is in overall fine condition. There is some wear on the front and rear sleeves. It states on the inner portion of the gatefold sleeve - 'All arrangements by Steamhammer - Producer : Fritz Fryer for Inferno - Recording & mixing engineer : Martin Birch - Cover art : Chris Stepan - Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford'. The top and bottom edges show some wear. The spine shows some definite wear. There is no wording along the spine of the sleeve.  I've graded the sleeve as VG++. 

INNER SLEEVE - This is a plain paper type without plastic liner.

RECORD - The record itself looks quite clean but there are some surface marks and there is some surface noise with some pops and clicks on both sides. There are no jumps or skips on any of the tracks. The labels are in fine condition and there are only minor spindle marks. There is no damage to the labels on either side. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are as follows - side one - CAS 1024 A - 1 U - side two - CAS 1024 B - 1 U. I believe this makes the record a first pressing. I have graded the record as Ex and I believe that this is very fair. I try to grade everything as accurately as possible. The winner of this auction will not be disappointed.
