STEAMHAMMER Mountains B&C Records UK 1970 rare 1st press exc+
B&C CAS-1024 Matrixes: A-1U / B-1U
Sleeve: Exc – Sturdy thick card gatefold sleeve with quite a lot of light surface wear (esp. at edges and along edges of spine though central column of cover illustration is clear and there is no spine lettering). Also some slight rippling, esp on rear cover (visible in photo), as though the card has been damp at some point, and some writing on centre back cover, from when this record was gifted to me and friends by a previous owner (see close-up pic). Paper inner, again with some aphorisms from previous owner in biro.
Vinyl: Exc+ - Some very light hairline scratches, surface smears and specks, which may cause occasional surface noise, but otherwise clean and undamaged. Plays very well, good clear sound and little surface noise – mainly on run-in grooves.
Probably the best and most consistent album by this largely forgotten but often excellent band.
