180g VINYL & HALF SPEED MASTERING
Our collectable vinyl re-issues are as close as possible to the original LPs.
The LPs are mastered at Half Speed at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, then pressed onto 180g vinyl, offering the listener the best ever sounding version of the album.
The recordings are remastered by Jon Astley (The Who, Led Zeppelin, George Harrison & many others).
The sleeves are printed from superior quality scans with detailed reproduction artwork.
Traditional blues blended with contemporary sounds were the main factors of Steamhammer, one of the most popular touring bands of the late 1960s. The dazzling guitar work from Martin Pugh and the earthy vocals of Kieran White ensured that the group was always in demand, particularly in Germany.
They released a stream of fine albums too, and ‘Mountains’ was their third. Originally issued by B&C Records in 1970, it is now once again available with its beautifully designed cover in full size glory, and it showcases the four piece group roaring through such performances as the ten minute rocking epic ‘Riding On The L&N’ and ‘Hold That Train’, recorded ‘live’ at the Lyceum, London.

Repertoires Sammler-Editionen und Vinyl-Wiederveröffentlichungen werden möglichst originalgetreu hergestellt und beinhalten auch die für die 60er Jahre typische Innenhülle. Die LPs wurden in den legendären Abbey Road Studios in Half Speed remastert und dann als 180g Vinyl gepresst. Dies garantiert dem Hörer den bestmöglichen Klang. Alle Cover sind von hochwertigen Scans der Original-Cover mit Blick auf alle Feinheiten des damaligen Artworks neu gefertigt.
Traditioneller Blues gepaart mit damals populärer Rockmusik, diese Faktoren machten Steamhammer, eine der populärsten Livebands der späten 60er Jahre aus. Die faszinierende Gitarrenarbeit von Martin Pugh mit der erdigen Stimme des Sängers Kieran White stellte sicher, dass die Band gerade auch in Deutschland sehr gefragt war. »Mountains« war ihr 3. Album, welches 1970 von B&C Records veröffentlicht wurde. Mit dem 10 Minuten-Stück »Riding On The L&N« und »Hold That Train«, live im Lyceum in London aufgenommen, wurde diese Platte ein voller Erfolg und ist bis heute sehr gefragt.
