* ORIGINAL UK issue in stickered Gatefold Sleeve. Matrix numbers A-1U / B-1U.
* Record in excellent condition with very little sign of play. No scuffs. I'd rate as near mint.
* Textured,unlaminated sleeve has original round sticker on.
* Very slight cover wear – spine is ‘age darkened’ and little edge shelf wear, not serious. Thick card sleeve.
* Background: ‘Steamhammer’ were a UK Blues/Prog-Rock band from Worthing who had a brief career from 1968 to about 1973. This was their third album, recorded in 1970. A 21 date UK tour backing USA-bluesman Freddie King and supporting Led Zeppelin on tour helped raise their profile. This third album ‘Mountains’ was released in autumn 1970 and showcases a well-oiled musical machine. It acknowledges prog but goes back to their raw blues roots. One side was recorded live at the Lyceum – (supported by Black Sabbath!) It’s generally acknowledged as their best work and member Steve Davy agrees.
