But there is great value in them for their simplicity and glimpse into the seeds of what would become one of the most impressive catalogues of music from one of the most impressive rock acts of the era.
It's the musical equivalent of one of Da Vinci's sketchbooks full of line drawings and figure studies. The songs aren't fully fleshed out into the masterpieces many would eventually become, but you can already hear the brilliance in the songwriting, vocal delivery, and oh man that piano...
