This is a rare MFSL pressing of the great 4th album from Steely Dan, Katy Lied, pressed on virgin translucent vinyl by Japanese Victor Company (JVC) and released in the United States by MFSL in 1978, under catalogue number MFSL-1-0007. As the catalogue number indicates it was the 7th LP released under first MFSL series of releases, and the second pop/rock album, Supertramp, Crime of The Century having been the first, with the first 5 releases orchestral or jazz recordings. This excellent album includes such beloved cuts such as Black Friday, Bad Sneakers, Chain Lightening and Doctor Wu. The book value ($100) indicates its rarity. The protective cardboard promotional protective inner sleeve is present but not the lyric sheet which I believe was issued.

The LP visually is in excellent condition showing just a few barely visible lines. The record plays very nicely on Side 1 and on Side 2 with the exception of few barely noticeable light ticks/pops at the very end of the 1st cut on Side 2 just when music has just faded to silence and some in the dead wax leading into second cut as instrumental introduction  starts. Overall the LP play is very nice  . The cover is in very good plus condition. The top two corners are reasonably sharp with just slight corner wear visible. The bottom 2 corners show more wear including crease across the lower spine corner. The spine and seams are sharp with no splits and just slight rub wear.The back and front covers are very clean with some light visible wear including few creases at the spine on front and slight crease across the top back of the cover. The color on cover is very vibrant. In grading I use Excellent instead of VG++ for those items deemed just a notch below near mint. Please understand that opened play graded copies may have been graded several weeks before listing so the LP should be cleaned again before play. LPs are cleaned manually as I no longer have machine.

The LP will be shipped within 24 hours of payment, which is expected within 3 days of auction end, in specially made LP mailer with the LP separated from the cover (for unsealed items) and well packaged to protect the item from damage during shipment. Returns are accepted as long as LP is returned in the condition received. Sealed items will only be permitted if returned unopened. 

Shipping cost is $4 per LP. To reduce shipping cost, I will combine shipping on multiple items bid and won during the same auction cycle. Please do not pay until I have had the opportunity to manually adjust the shipping cost. I cannot hold items for multiple auction cycles as it will affect my EBAY standing in so far as it concerns shipment time. I only accept bids from US based buyers and will only ship to the address recorded for the buyer on PAYPAL, which is the only method I can accept for payment.

Please keep in mind that I am a  person looking to sell their collection and not a store or commercial seller. I play grade open items sold and do the best I can in the process to give an honest assessment of the item As is shown by my feedback I think I do a good job of satisfying most buyers. I leave feedback for all buyers and if you are satisfied with the transaction I would greatly appreciate positive feedback from the buyer as well. If for any reason you cannot leave positive feedback or are not satisfied, please have the courtesy of contacting me before leaving negative or neutral feedback. In almost all cases the issue can be worked out to the buyers satisfaction even if it means returning the item. If the item is not as described I will bear all shipping costs including return shipping. If a buyer behaves in a rude or unreasonable manner, and/ or fails to contact me to address issues they have with an item before negative or neutral feedback is left, I will block that buyer from further auction participation. I also reserve the right block a buyer that leaves negative or neutral feedback when I have done everything possible to place the buyer in the position they would have been had the transaction not taken place.
