Description
This is an early Capitol Records STEREO pressing of Meet The Beatles. This is the scarcer west coast issue, cover #6 (please see pics). MEET THE BEATLES is in olive green print. This cover DOES NOT have George Martin Producer credits, and DOES have the STEREO NEEDLE DAMAGE message along the bottom back cover. The labels are glossy, with 3 tracks (Side 1, Tracks 1 & 2; Side 2, Track #5) registered through BMI.
The cover is absolutely stellar. E grade. It remains in its' ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP WHICH IS 100% INTACT. The only marks on the shrink is the tint from old scotch tape that has since been removed and DOES NOT AFFECT THE WRAP. Only two corners are slightly bent with minor creases. Otherwise ALL EDGES ARE STRAIGHT & FIRM; SPINE PERFECTLY STRAIGHT & LEGIBLE; NO SEAM SPLITS. NO RINGWEAR OR DISCOLRATION. The whites on this cover are amazing! Fresh as if it were opened yesterday! This piece comes with a baggy inner sleeve originally issued with opening edge perforation.
The disc is NM. The gloss is brilliant. There are NO MARKS OF ANY KIND. The labels look fresh as new; NO DISCOLORATION, RINGWEAR, OR SPINDLE MARKS.
Sonically the piece is NM. Virtually free of any surface noise this piece still boast fantastic highs and warm lows & plenty of separation. It is extremely difficult to find this piece in this condition in its' ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP.
