STEREO INTRODUCING THE BEATLES w/sticker in shrink VG+

This is a REAL stereo "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" album, with the STEREOPHONIC sticker on it, still in the store "shrink-wrap"!!!!! And it's a REEEEEEEEEEEAL beauty!!!

As Perry Cox and Bruce Spizer mention in their books, these "Introducing the Beatles" albums were sent to stores in: 1) loose "poly-bags" 2) some in shrink-wrap, and 3) most with no cover protection at all. These latter versions were occasionally "shrink-wrapped" by the stores themselves. And this one is OBVIOUSLY one of the latter versions....As the "shrink-wrap" job is HORRIBLE!!!

It looks like they just got the shrink-wrap machine, and this was the first time they tried to use it (which is probably why they had to mark it down to $1.49!) BUT...it did manage to keep the cover in almost PRISTINE CONDITION for over 40 years (see scans)!

And it REALLY is STUNNING!! With just a little minuscule wear on two of the corners (the top left and the bottom right) where they have poked through the shrink-wrap. It's so minor that it's hardly worth mentioning, but I just want to be as thorough in my description as possible. The shrink is also torn on the back, but the cover is not damaged in this area (see scan).

The disc itself is the all black w/silver printing version, most often associated with this cover. It has the word "STEREO" on the round record labels themselves, which are also in pristine condition (see scans)! There is a surface mar across part of side one (see label scan, right side). This seems to be a manufacturing flaw, and is ONLY a visual distraction, as both sides have been "play-tested" and they both play BEAUTIFULLY! No skipping, and almost no "crackling," during or between songs WHATSOEVER! Overall, It actually looks and sounds like it was PLAYED VERY FEW times!

The disc itself came in the original Vee-Jay paper "dust sleeve," and is included in this auction (see scan). It's not (unlike everything else) in pristine condition, but it IS the original dust sleeve, and adds to the authenticity and value of this item.
