Description
This is a fine copy from a 1994 reissue of the rare sole LP by Steve Ellis and the Starfires, originally released in 1967. The group was from southwestern Minnesota, and played well crafted folk-rock and beat-pop. The LP was released as a tribute to Ellis, who died in a motorcycle accident, with interviews by his surviving bandmates included between the songs. This reissue adds alternate versions of four of the LP's tracks. It's the only reissue of the LP in any format to date. The jacket has some creasing -- EX(+). The bottom seam has come partly unglued. The disc is clean, and plays with occasional light surface noise (EX+). The record comes with a four-page insert (EX+) and a label advert.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs.
