Welcome to my sale of some extraordinarily rare 7" singles that I will be listing this weekend. Next up is Steve Jolliffe - Drake's Venture EP. Released by Atlantis Records in 1980 cat no. S/80/CUS 919 Matrix stamps A1 / B1 Vinyl is in excellent condition, can not have been played more than once or twice, labels are mint, the sleeve has very minor marks as shown in the pictures.
So the background to this is it was produced as the TV soundtrack to the Drake's Venture program starring John Thaw. Steve Jolliffe who is known for being in the Joint which was the embryonic band that after he left to go to Berlin became Supertramp. In Berlin he met Edgar Froese and Klaus Schulze and they became one of the earliest incarnations of Tangerine Dream. This release is personally signed by Steve and dedicated to the late John Stewart. Due to a fire that destroyed virtually every copy, there are only a handful now known to exist, so grab your chance to get a very rare record to add to your collection.
I am conservatively under grading these listings, but all have been play tested using Sennheiser dynamic head phones and all items listed play through with no skips or jumps and minimal background noise, that does not interfere with the music at normal volumes. Any exceptions to this will be noted, the pictures were taken on a high definition camera that form part of the description so please check and ask if not sure. Please ask me about any individual item before making a purchase.
