Description
STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN AND DOUBLE TROUBLE Couldn’t Stand The Weather hails from 2024 and is a SEALED VMP Exclusive 180 gram LP set pressed on Red & Black Split Vinyl. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble's sophomore album, Couldn't Stand The Weather, is the Rock Record of the Month for April 2024. It's here on 180g Red & Black Split vinyl, with lacquers cut from tapes (AAA) by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound.
Like many second acts, Couldn't Stand the Weather benefits from not needing to bother with introductions. Having established the parameters of his own brand of the blues on Texas Flood, one rooted in the roadhouse shuffles of Texas and informed by the psychedelicized rock of Jimi Hendrix, Vaughan seized the opportunity to stretch his legs, to discover what he could really achieve within the confines of a professional studio — something he felt he didn't quite do on the debut record that arrived just a year prior.
