James Taylor, One Man Dog, Warner Brothers Records BS 2660, 1972
Is this a 'first pressing' from 1972? I believe it to be, because.... 1. There were 7 US stereo pressings, 4 of them were from '72. 2. Average prices of new records in '72 was approx. $5.98. By '77 it was $6.99. The sale price sticker (photo 3) would be more in line with '72 prices. ***I AM NOT GUARANTEEING this is a 1972 pressing! Regardless, the LP has NEVER been played.***
Condition: 1. Please examine all photos for condition of the outer jacket (e.g., shelf wear, a promo/deletion cut, wear to the shrink). 2. The record is presumed MINT, as it has never been touched. If anything, it will have paper scuffs from being in the inner sleeve for FORTY-NINE years.
There were at least 4 pressing plants making this record: 1. Columbia Records Santa Maria 2. Columbia Records Terra Haute 3. Capitol Records Winchester 4. Capitol Records Los Angeles Obviously the plant for this one is unknown, as it is STILL SEALED.
No matter where it was pressed, the lacquers were cut at A&M Mastering by none other than Bernie Grundman!
