ALLAN TAYLOR * Win or Lose * Allan Taylor: "In den letzten Jahren haben wir mit großer Freude wahrgenommen, wie viele Musikliebhaber sich für unsere Vinyl-Veröffentlichungen interessierten. Vielleicht ist es nicht überraschend, denn die Qualität der Produktionen war und ist wie immer hervorragend und zeugt vom Können unseres Teams.
Ich habe die Tracks für "In The Groove Vol.2" vor allem vor einem Hintergrund ausgewählt: ich weiß, dass echte Vinyl-Fans ihre Schallplatten normalerweise auf hervorragenden Soundsystemen spielen - weil sie den besonderen Vinyl-Klang zu schätzen wissen. Wie dieser spezielle Sound erreicht wird, kann ich selbst nicht beschreiben: Ich bin nur der "Typ", der die Songs schreibt, spielt und aufführt, aber das Stockfisch-Team hat das begeisternde Expertenwissen für Aufnahmen und technische Umsetzung. Ich bin dem Team dankbar, dass sie sich weiterhin den hohen Standards verschrieben haben - und daher meine Musik so gut zum Klingen gebracht wird."

"Dieses Lied spielt mit dem metaphorischen Gegensatz von Zufall und Abenteuer. Zu viele Menschen leben ihr Leben mit gesenktem Kopf - ohne nach oben zu schauen. Sie sehen niemals den roten Ballon, der eigentlich immer da ist - aber man muss ihn bewusst suchen. Und wenn Sie den roten Ballon entdecken, greifen Sie nach seinem Seil, lassen Sie sich vom Boden abheben und Ihnen wird sich die Welt zeigen."

Allan Taylor: "Over the last few years it has been gratifying to know that so many people are interested in our vinyl releases. Perhaps it’s not surprising, as the quality of the production is, as always, excellent, and a testament to the skill of our team.
I have chosen these particular tracks mainly because I know that those of you who play the vinyl records usually play them on superb sound systems, and therefore appreciate the quality. How this sound is achieved I don’t know; I’m just the guy who writes the songs and performs them, but the Stockfisch team are the experts in recording. I’m grateful to the team for continuing to work to such high standards to make my music sound so good."
About his new song, A Giant Red Balloon, which makes its premiere on this release:
"This song is metaphor for chance and adventure. Too many people live their lives with their head down – not looking up – so they never see the red balloon that is always there – but one has to search for it. And when you see the red balloon, take hold of the rope that hangs from and let it lift you off the ground and you’ll see the world."
