Description
LEOPOLD STOKOWSKI & THE PHILADELPHIA ORCH: Capriccio Italien (Tschaikovsky)/La Grande Paque Russe Overture (Rimsky-Korsakov). 1931 Victor Long-Play Program Transcription (L-7002), the precursor of the LP. Both works recorded in 1929. Disc looks pretty clean, with lightly worn starting grooves on both sides; not surprisingly, as these early vinyl discs were made to play with steel needles that would eventually wear down to fit the groove. The disc soon clears up to E condition, with minor marks and scuffs. Slightly warped, will need extra weight to track on side 1. Satisfaction guaranteed!
