Description
Very nice copy of the audiophile classic, Rhapsodies, conducted by Leopold Stokowski, on RCA Living Stereo LP LSC-2471. Liszt - Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, and Enesco - Roumanian Rhapsody No. 1, plus Smetana - the Moldau "Bartered Bride" Overture. White Dog labels with 8S/8S stampers. Considered to be among the great recordings ever made, this copy sounds absolutely incredible. There is very very slight background crackle in a few spots, at the beginning of side one, for instance, and in a couple of quieter parts on that side. Really this crackle is very very faint and not at all a big deal. And only in a couple of spots. Side two plays near perfectly. Really this is a beautifully playing copy that is just breathtaking. The cover actually has a sliver of the original shrinkwrap still sticking to it! I left it on but you can remove it instantly with no damage. There is some wear on the bottom edge, and a little more at the top of the spine, but no seam splits, no creases, no dogears, and no rips. A beautiful copy all in all, and an incredible sound.
