Beautiful copy of the original 1969 pressing of the third and final (and rarest) Stone Poneys LP featuring Linda Ronstadt, on Capitol ST-2863. Released just as her solo career was getting going and sort of sidelined because of it, this is the rarest of the three brilliant Stone Poneys albums, the only one that was never reissued, and it was pressed in an unusually small run, since Capitol was really pushing her first solo stuff. But it is truly a gem of a record, featuring several songs by Tim Buckley, another great Mike Nesmith song, and their wonderful version of Laura Nyro’s Stoney End. This copy is just lovely as well. The disc only has a few entirely superficial scuffs and it plays completely flawlessly and just beautifully. Really barely any wear… and only surface scuffing that doesn’t affect the play in the least. The cover has a short 1” seam split at the bottom right corner and a bit more in the center where the disc touches the edge, but otherwise really is quite nicely clean and just lovely. A truly top copy, hard to beat.
