STONE TEMPLE PILOTS STP Purple Album BLACK VINYL Original US Pressing 82607-1 NM. “12 Gracious Melodies,” and for those of you who can read Chinese characters, “Purple” is the title. 2nd album from Scott & the Boys, this is the rarer black vinyl pressing (not purple vinyl.). Coming after the hugely-successful Core debut album, Purple debuted at #1 on the Billboard US Top 200 Album Chart. It sold 252,000 copies the first WEEK after its release. Today it is 6 TIMES PLATINUM (over 6 million copies sold in all formats—vinyl, CD, cassette.). 1994 First US Pressing, NOT any later reissue, “Anniversary Edition” or foreign release. Includes the color insert lyric sheet with photos. The jacket is VG+, it has a small “saw-cut” and some ring-wear. The vinyl record itself is beautiful, about MINT. Please see all photos. After the death of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, STP DEFINED THE 90’s. They were just what we needed then. They are now the “stuff of LEGENDS,” and NO ONE will ever stop missing Scott Weiland.
