NOTE: eBay has implemented its new FEEDBACK policy to which ANY customer for ANY reason or ANY excuse can give sellers (i.e. "us") negative feedback. Please understand, we have served thousands of "satisfied" customers and processed thousands of orders - far more than our feedback records indicate - It is our intention to give EACH and EVERY buyer our best possible service and we are known to ALWAYS deliver your purchased item. ALL items paid for are processsed 'outbound' to each and EVERY customer, satisfaction guaranteed. Keep in mind we have serviced THOUSANDS of satisfied customers and our aim is to continue to do so.
We make every effort to mail all orders out Friday of each week. Keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two at most. We also strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.
TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS: We often get requests to hold orders to save on shipping. We are happy to do that. Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and IF YOU REQUEST we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel. To receive continual shipping discounts, we will hold your orders as long as you want, but it is necessary to pay each invoice you receive to stay current. Most importantly, we appreciate your business.
TOP MINT IN SHRINK WRAP 1967 STONED HIPPIE ARTIFACT
Garden Of Joy
The Jim Kweskin Jug Band
...USA - STEAMBOAT tri colored REPRISE - RS 6266
BEAUTIFUL MINT 1967 ORIGINAL first pressing:
***STILL IN ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINK WRAPPER ... a TOPMOST 43 year old relic of the hippie heydaze....
Garden of Joy, from 1967, is this stoned-out crew's best album. LSD-drenched jugband coupled with LSD-drenched folk is the only way to describe it. Zappaesque in places, woozy and good-timey in others, homespun and homely in others, with inspired playing... It ain't rock music, but it would appeal to any student of 60's psychedelia or folk and folk-rock, and they were a much truer jugband than the popish Lovin' Spoonful could pretend to be... Ghostly calliopes, weird grunts, a creepy/funny spoken word interlude, and wacked sound effects and laconic jokes add to the replayability of this classic. Highly recommended to the adventurous. Recommended cuts "When I Was a Cowboy", "Minglewood", "I AIn't Gonna Marry". The Jim Kweskin's Jug Band was one of the most peculiar outfits of the 1960's, and made some of its most peculiar music. Boston-based, the band included Kweskin, its titular leader, plus Geoff and Maria Muldaur (who recorded as a duet and separately; Maria had a big AM hit with Midnight at the Oasis in the 70's), Mel Lyman (who formed his own cult/commune) and Fritz Richmond.
