Description

Stravinsky- Firebird Suite, Bizet- Children's Games Suite & Ravel- Mother Goose Suite.  Carlo Maria Giulini / Philharmonia Orchestra.  Original UK Columbia blue/silver labels, SAX 2279, stampers- YAX 79-17 (SIDE 1), YAX 80-7 (SIDE 2).

Very scarce early UK Stereo edition in amazing condition.  Vinyl is at the high end of NM, clean and glossy with just a touch of sleeve-burn and a few light and inaudible hairlines visible under bright light and close scrutiny.

Cover is VG+, corner-wear (upper right corner has a small chip of the laminated cover missing) and there is some waffling/creasing on bottom right corner presumably caused by some sort of moisture exposure, as the back corner has some very light discoloration/yellowing (there is no trace of mold/mildew, not even a musty smell!).  The laminate itself is missing from about 3/4ths of the front.  I was shocked when I first noticed this as it came off in a clean line and isn't noticeable without really, really close scrutiny.  The gold sticker that would have been on the outside of the laminate on the upper right, front has left a light ring/outline also visible with close inspection.

Comes in original UK EMI poly-lined inner sleeve, NM-minor creasing and yellowing.

Labels are clean and free of spindle marks or wear.

Low opening bid and no reserve.

Buyer pays $4.00 shipping within the US, $7.00 to Canada and $15.00 all other international destinations.
