Description
STREETDANCER – Rising (1976) Dharma-807 – M-/M- (cover/vinyl)
Killer funky spiritual jazz rock by this really interesting group that features Chico Freeman on sax, Roger Glienke on guitar, Chris Miller on electric violin, Robert Long on electric piano, Kestutis Stanciauskas on electric bass and Andy Potter on drums, conga and tabla. There are lots of great tracks like “Cosmocossic,” “Visualization,” “Maitreya,” “Moon in the Water,” etc., but this has become an underground sought-after piece for the massive open drum breaks and samples from the 12:35-minute “Yonnie’s Tune.” A great private label issue from Libertyville, Illinois.
This is a beautiful copy. The cover is bright and crisp and in the original shrink wrap. The vinyl is super clean and glossy and looks unplayed. I grade this conservatively M-/M- (cover/record).
This is an original pressing. I do not sell modern reissues
