During the past few Holidays, I have listed a group of rare albums called The Fabulous 15 PLUS. The albums selected each meet the following criteria. They are very rare, have a quality listing of VG+ or better and are considered by many collectors as extremely rare, difficult to find in any condition and meet the serious collectors highest standards. You will be pleased with this year's selection. The auction is a ten day, no reserve auction and will close Saturday, November 27th, 2010 at 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. All winning bids that are paid for by Sunday, November 26th, will be carefully shipped on the 27th, and will arrive at desinated address before December 25th. Most of the albums you will be viewing are from my 50+ year old collection and are original issues. Sometimes I include albums given to me or purchased from friends or relatives. I do not go to swap meets, garage sales, or thrift stores. I do go to record conventions as time permits. You will be bidding for original issue, quality albums. Sometime I will list rare re-issues and the will be stated as (re) in the listing. I use Goldmine Standard Catalog as a grading guideline and tend to get somewhat conservative.

(Up to $50 $1.75) ($50.01 to $100 $2.25) ($100.01 to $200 $2.75) ($200.01 to $300 $4.70)

All records are played through prior to listing for accurate grading.

GRADING GUIDELINES!

(NM or NM-) NM records are shiny with no visible defects such as writing, stickers or needle marks on the labels. The album cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or any signs of human handling. It also will have no ring wear.

(VG+ or Excellent) May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK. The cover might be marred by a cutout marking, small hole punch, a cut in the spine or a promotional stamp and even a tiny bit of ring wear.

(VG) Have more obvious flaws such as lack of gloss, groove wear, light scratches and needle marks. When played there will be surface noise that will not over power the music overall. Noise in the passages, between songs is common. The cover may have minor seam splits, writing, tape, stickers, ring wear and scuffs.

(VG-) Is just a compounding of the VG category. Many obvious flaws but if the record is rare, may very well be worthwhile. I usually do not list records lower than the above grades.

Remember, when you are bidding, most of these records are usually 50+ years old and have been out of print for a very long time. When you consider that, damage, loss, and normal use or wear has reduced the market to the point that few of these wonderful treasures are even available today.

FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION; Purchased new and never played, you are bidding for a mint pressing of You're So Fine by the Falcons and recorded on the Flick Label 8005 in High Fidelity. This is the White label with Red Print. The group includes Willie Schofield, Arnett Robinson, Joe Stubbs and Eddie Floyd. The thick album cover is in excellent condition and will be a stunning display in the Music Room. There are no seam splits, discoloration, ring wear, tape, tears, writing or wrinkles, just a few corner and edge scuffs from shelf display. The liner notes and group photo in back are also in wonderful condition and no discoloration. The record has never seen a turntable and is flawless. The labels are also flawless. The songs include; Side 1, You're So Fine, Please Don't Leave Me Dear, Just For Your Love, You're In Love, Girl Of My Dreams, Let It Be Me, Goddess Of Angels, Sent Up. Side 2, You're Mine, Baby That's It, Anytime Anyplace Anywhere, I Wonder, Juke Hop, No Time For Fun, Whose Little Girl Are You, I'll Never Find Another Girl Like You.

A rare, classic and most wanted collectible for the serious R&B fan and based on the Goldmine guide, the album cover is graded NM and the the record MINT. There is no reserve.
