STYX Test Pressing LP UNRELEASED MFSL UHQR The Grand Illusion Half-Speed

 

 

 

Styx - The Grande Illusion
(Mobile Fidelity MFSL 1-026)

1981 or 1982 test pressing of proposed MFSL 200-gram UHQR reissue of LP that was issued as standard half-speed mastered LP MFSL1-026 in 1980. This UHQR LP was never released. Plain white covers which have "Sample Record Not For Sale" sticker at top right corner. Catalog number on sticker printed as "MFSL1-026 UHQR." Generic "MFSL, Inc." test pressing labels which differ slightly from the standard test pressing labels MFSL used. Cover has light yellowing from age and mild "foxing." 

 Condition: Disc M-, Cover VG+
