Long Beach, CA alternative rockers Sublime began making music in the late 80s. By 1992, they released their debut album, and called it '40 oz. To Freedom'. That record celebrated its THIRTY year anniversary last year! (Hard to believe it's been that long...)

Sublime pretty much fell apart after the overdose and death of lead singer Bradley Nowell in 1996. The remaining members have done shows occasionally with guest singers through the years. Sublime was pop, punk, hard rock, ska, reggae, surf music, and dancehall, to make just a few styles. And people still LOVE Sublime!

When '40 oz. To Freedom' was originally released, there were four different color picture disc LPs that came out. They used the sun's face from the album cover, and one was pink, one is blue, there's a green one, and the fourth is orange (and they're all very cool!). To celebrate 30 years, another picture disc recently came out. This time they stayed close to the original cover with the artwork. It was released in a clear (and cut to shape) PVC jacket. It's also a TWO record set!

I purchased this second hand, but I don't think it ever got played. I never played it. The jacket looks really good. It's not sealed, but may have come that way. I never even took the vinyl out, but from what I can see, it looks fantastic! These can go for big bucks, but not today! Grab some anniversary Sublime, and do it soon, because at this price, it probably won't last too long!
