A wonderful opportunity to own this rare and sought-after recording of primitive electronica by one of the most influential acts in music! Suicide, made up of Alan Vega

(vocals) and Martin Rev (electronics), are credited with being the first band to use the term 'punk' to describe themselves, a word taken from an article by Lester Bangs.

Posters for some of their first gigs used the phrases 'punk music' and 'punk mass'. Early shows took place at the Mercer Arts Center, alongside bands such as The New

York Dolls, and Eric Emerson And The Magic Tramps. David Johansen once played harmonica with Suicide in an early show there. A very influential band, they helped shape

the direction of indie rock, industrial and dance music. People who cite Suicide as an influence include: Steve Albini, Panthere, Gang Gang Dance, The Jesus And Mary Chain,

The Sisters Of Mercy, She Wants Revenge, Henry Rollins, Joy Division, New Order, Soft Cell, Nick Cave, Cassandra Complex, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Radiohead, Kap Bambino,

Spacemen 3, Spiritualized, Michael Gira, MGMT, Sonic Boom, Loop, The Fleshtones, Ric Ocasek, Mi Ami, R.E.M., The Kills and Bruce Springsteen!

Sleeve: Gatefold sleeve is in superb condition, being protected by the original factory shrink-wrap which is only split at the open edge! No damage whatsoever!

The cover photo is by Mel Austin, the back cover photos are by Marcia Resnick. Thick card insert contains an interview with Suicide by Bob Bert and is in equally,

as-new condition!
