Description

Here is one of the rarest records for blues / gospel / R&B collectors. Recorded in October, 1953, with Ike Turner on piano, this disc features inmates of the Tennessee State Prison in Nashville. This is the rare, dark yellow issue. Side A is "My God Is Real," a beautiful tune with simple guitar backing and vocal harmony. The flip side is "Softly and Tenderly," with piano and handclapping. This is more of a fast-paced gospel with a deep baritone lead. Condition is E+ with some fingerprints and one minor scuff on the B side.
