Description
Sun Ra Interplanetary Concepts aka The Antique Blacks Saturn 81774
Original disc from 1974 with Marshall Allen, John Gilmore, Danny Davis, etc. Tracks (taken from “The Earthly Recordings of Sun Ra”) include Song No.1, There is a Change in the Air, The Antique Blacks, This Song is Dedicated to Nature’s God, The Ridiculous “I” and the Cosmos Me, Would I for All That Were, and, of course, Space is the Place. A rare one!
Disc is VG+, with the following remarks: there is a bubble at the end of The Ridiculous “I” that causes a “thump” for about 30 seconds but does play through; side one has some sleeve marks that make no noise distinguishable from the typical lo-fi pressing noise that is a hallmark of El Saturn lps!
Unfortunately, there is no cover, which, considering the label, is no great surprise. I bought a few dozen lps at shows from the Arkestra in this period and many came with no cover, so who knows if one even ever existed for this issue!

After a hiatus, during which we moved and built our Permanentrecords library/vault/watering hole, we are finally up and running as an Ebay seller again. Welcome back to all our old friends and hello to new ones. We’re going to try things a bit differently this time. We will still feature great, rare, obscure, strange and little-known vinyl, but we’ve decided on no reserves and a very low opening bid on even the choicest stuff. We’re hoping that this will keep you coming back to us for the chance at some genuine bargains and maybe even steals, as we allow each item to find its natural price. We are also hoping to expand into some of our other interests in the near future, like vintage clothes and books.
