SATURN 1st PRESSSRA 2000 Matrix no's : SRA2000 - A / B
Visually the vinyl retains excellent sheen and under bright light there are lots of visible marks, both hairlines and paper scuffs and also some other more significant marks or blemishes. Playback is graded overall at EXCELLENT MINUS. SIDE 2 - plays really well - excellent - strong and clear with little surface noise. And feature some great vocals by JUNE TYSON. SIDE 1 - overall also plays well - however Track 2 has some audible surface noise and a few clicks and pops and Track 3 has loud clicks for the first minute. Tracks 1, 4, 5 and 6 play well with little surface noise so overall grading is EXCELLENT MINUS.
And it really is a great Lp !
The PINK and BLACK SATURN record labels are EXCELLENT - minimal visible spindle wear.
The thick card PICTURE sleeve is in really good shape ! It remains very strong with really only some fading in parts of the front BUT it was signed at a concert by SUN RA himself - ' Intergalactic greetings from Sun Ra ' so really a bit of fading is hardly a huge issue !!
This is a classic free astro galaktic jazz Lp from the one and only SUN RA ( and his troupe of fellow travellers ) and to be signed by the man himself is a real bonus !
