SUN RECORDS R&B From 1955 by Billy "The Kid" Emerson on Sun 218
“Red Hot” with “No Greater Love"
Recorded on May 31,1955 at 706 Union Street in Memphis at the Sun Studios, On the session were Sammy Lewis on vocal and piano, Calvin Newborn on guitar, Kenneth Banks on bass, Phineas Newborn on drums and Jewell Briscoe and Moses Reed on tenor sax.. This is a first pressing that can be verified by the pusher marks (round marks) in a triangle on the label. This was recorded just before Elvis recorded "Mystery Train" on Sun 223 in July of 1955 at the same studio.
