Description
I collect old 78s and often buy them by the box. Here's a real gem I discovered, and I am selling to finance the rest of my collecting vices!
I see that this record of Carl Perkins' I'm Sorry, I'm Not Sorry and Dixie Fried is offered in the 45 rpm version, but not so much this 78 rpm. I have an old Victrola and have played it and the sound is not muddy or hissy but crisp and articulate. Visually, there are a few shallow scratches on each side but it does not have that dull finish like a record played a lot will have.
On the "Sorry" side, there is a small surface wedge chip out of the rim edge, does not compromise playing. I've tried to photograph it in the third picture.
I have it in a plain sleeve now. (I can dig around and see if I can find an old SUN sleeve, but no guarantees.)
Priority shipment (to keep it out of the mail stream for more than a couple of days, and also to insure it) will be $4.00 under eBay's limits. Since actual postage will be more, I've included the increment in the starting bid.
