SUNNYLAND SLIM
with MUDDY WATERS
ARISTOCRAT 1304
V-
TITLES:
- She Ain't Nowhere
- My Baby, My Baby
The friendship and combination of Sunnyland Slim and Muddy Waters started shortly after Muddy arrived in Chicago from Mississippi. It lasted through to the Chicago Blues All Stars of the late '60s and only ended with the passing of Sunnyland. Here is an early effort by the two. "A" side jumps while the "B" side is pretty standard blues. All vocals are by Sunnyland, but Muddy takes fairly long and nice guitar solos on both tunes. A great blues recording from Dec. 1947.
Record has light to moderate surface scuffs and scratches. Each side has a coouple of needle drops which play through without a problem. Writing on the "A" side label.Record looks V-, but plays better.
