Description

Extremely rare promotional only Radio Canada transcription LP entitled "Pacific Rim" from 1976 featuring two spiritual/free jazz outfits from Canada. Side A features the "Electric Ninja Group" featuring a mixture of Canadians and Japanese performers(electric piano, synth, gamelan percussion, electric shakuhachi, guitar, percussion, bass, drums, trumpet, sax, etc, etc) and recorded at NHK radio in Tokyo in 1975. Side B features the "Sunship Ensemble" featuring former members of the legendary Al Neil trio along with some younger players on guitar, saxophones, etc...recorded in Vancouver in 1974. Great music by both bands that is influenced by free jazz, spiritual jazz, electronic, and avant garde. Cover is in EX condition and vinyl is EX to NM - plays great! Fans of Strata East, FMP, Nurse with wound, qbico, etc take note.
