THE SUPER EAGLES BAND - Viva Super Eagles (Decca WAPS29) - LP - 1969
Tracks: Viva Super Eagles, Dohi Gudi Bahut, Gambia Su Nous Raew, Aduna Poti Ndala, Love's A Real Thing, Hey Jude, Gambia Zambia African Unity, Don't Do That To Me, Tagu Nein Lein, Alieu Gori-Mami, False Love, Gail Gain Chi Rabi.
Nicely presented original pressing of The Super Eagles Band's Viva Super Eagles LP, released by Decca in 1969. This is a real genre-defying collection, incorporating Afro-beat, Psych, Jazz, Soul, Funk and Folk. The sleevenotes list Cha Cha, Highlife, Pachanga, Bolero, Soul, Rumba and Folk, and the songs are delivered in Wollof and English. The vinyl retains an excellent sheen with some light superficial surface marks, some fine, very light hairlines and a few light scratches on side 1 - nothing serious - see the descriptions below.
Side 1: There are very small, small and some smallish clicks plus a few more prominent ones. Grade - tracks vary between VG and EX, most being VG++/EX-
Side 2: There are some tiny and very occasional very small clicks. Grade - EX- up to EX
Labels: Both labels are near pristine (see scan).
Sleeve: There is light bumping and wear to the corners, a few lightish creases to the laminate on the front cover, and a little light discolouration to the unlaminated back cover.
