Description
This is an original FIRST UK VINYL pressing of the 2001 SUPER FURRY ANIMALS album 'RINGS AROUND THE WORLD'.
An astonishing piece of work from a very talented band. This was released at a time when vinyl was pressed in tiny numbers, if you didnt get one in the first couple of weeks following release you had no chance. As such its near impossible to find.
This is my personal copy.
As this is a first pressing it comes complete with the free 7" single which is completely white label and locked groove.
Another unique feature is that side C plays inside out!! (fair warning, you will have to catch the stylus)

Matrices 1A1 / 1B1 / 1C1 / 1D1 - absolute first pressing
Record Grading:
Record 1 grades as Excellent, I have test played this all the way through. There are a few light surface marks but these wont cause anything more than slight crackle at the very starts of the sides. Labels are clean, there is slight spindle wear when turned to the light.
Record 2 grades as VG , mainly because there are 2 marks on side C which will cause a few clicks, though it certainly doesnt skip. Side D is actually an EX.
Again I have test played it all the way through and again labels are great except for spindle wear.
Pressed on nice thick, heavy vinyl.
Sleeve Gradings :
Outer Gatefold is EX, some slight hairline creases and the start of a little ringwear to the rear, bottom right corner slightly creased (see pictures)
Has the Mercury Music sticker and the sticker advertising the single juxtapozed with U and a warning/advisory that Side C plays inside out.
Inner Sleeves are the correct lyric picturesleeves - BOTH EX NO Splits and this is thin material so that's quite impressive (don't worry I will make sure the records are separate from the sleeve before packing and posting).
Bonus 7" single is an EX - matrix runoff is 010887000 1A1 with ATSU 100 hand etched. there's a couple of marks on the label, not sure how as I've only ever played it once - in fact, I didn't know it was in there for the first couple of years as they hid it in the closed part of the outer gatefold.
Its a lock groove with a small part of 'all the shit u do'
