Here is a really spectacular piece of Jamaican music, a very scarce Lp by Cedric Im Brooks, after he left The Light Of Saba….The record has been recorded and mixed at Treasure Isle by engineer Errol Brown and produced by Sonia Pottinger on her High Note label. The backing band is formed by the greatest Jamaican musicians on the island with a really massive horn section, including members that reformed the Light Of Saba after this album to release the Sabebe album (Dean Fraser, Calvin Cameron, under others…) This album is obscure recording from 1977,  with original compositions by Cedric Brooks and two adaptations of traditional Jamaican music (Matty Run and Small Axe)… Obscure Roots/Reggae African/Carribean music with many horns and percussions, really close to Light Of Saba, in a style that is so specific to Cedric Im Brooks. A great album that you really do not see often, with strong music and conscious spirit….….

COVER : EX- (age wear, no writing or damage)

LABEL : EX

RECORD : EX- to EX (slight surface noise, no marks at all)

GRADING SYSTEM :

NM (near mint) = unplayed, perfect

EX+ = as new, beautiful condition

EX = if any, very light surface noises

EX- = slight surface noises or minor crackles

VG+ to EX- = average grading for a used record,

slight crackles and surface marks, playing not affected

VG+ = record has crackles or surface noise, but plays ok, no major sound deterioration

VG.VG+ = surface marks, regular crackles especially at start or between the songs,

But plays better during the track – second hand

VG = mediocre condition, very noisy vinyl, regular crackles and many surface marks

VG - = vinyl seriously damaged, heavy crackles, pops and clicks
