Description
This is an ODD and I'm categorizing it as Super Rare 45 and sleeve so please read the full description for all the details. This is considered a PRE-PRODUCTION 45 for Polish Records. This was sent to Potential Distributors and also a limited amount of Radio Stations to announce that Polish Records was starting up and have signed and will be recording acts such as Ronnie Spector, Metromen and Manster. The "A" Side is short banter between Ronnie Spector, Genya Ravan, Steve Musick and Andy Frances. The "B" Side is blank with no label or grooves or label BUT.... has the signatures of Ronnie Spector and others on/in the flat smooth surface. I could be wrong but it doesn't appear the signatures were in the pressing itself at the time of manufacture, but it appears to me that each signed it afterwards on that surface with something thin and sharp enough to leave the impression of their signature on and in the vinyl on the "B" side. Researching this I found very LIMITED info. DISCOGS NEVER had a listing of it for sale but did show a picture of the record and sleeve that a collector had BUT!!!! their copy did NOT mention the signatures on the blank back side. Another site referenced that Polish Records only pressed only a couple of hundred of these Pre-Production 45s to announce the label and again, NO mention of the Signatures as this one has. I got this at a radio station in NJ around 1980 from a stack of records they were going to discard. The "A" Side is in a Clean VG Condition, Not Trashed but it is a VG with thin lite surface lines. The "B" Side is what I would consider just a basic VG- as there are numerous thin light Surface Lines on the surface of the smooth vinyl which appear to be mostly more near where the signatures are. I tried to tilt the record in a way to try to show a sample of the signatures, so please see the photos attached to this listing. Shipping in the U.S. is $4.89.
