Description

SUPERTRAMP "First Album" rare WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING LP from 1970 (MONARCH RECORD MFG. CO. A&M SP 4274). When A&M reissued their debut album in 1977 they had a sticker on the album stating “Previously Unreleased in USA”. In fact there was a plan to release this album in USA back in 1970. But the release halted and only a few Test Pressings and White Label Promo editions were pressed and the plan for the official release was scrapped. The Test pressing and promo editions are quite scarce and only a few in numbers and hardly ever turn up for sale. Comes in a plain white sleeve and has original Cue/Info sheet with the date stated as 9/16/1970. Their debut album and very underrated. It is more of a progressive rock album than their later popular albums but all the great melodies are still there. Includes: Surely, Try again, etc. Record is Near Mint.
