Description
From 1963, out of Detroit,Michigan, come The Supremes with their first LP Meet The Supremes on Motown 606 MONO. ULTRA RARE FIRST PRESS WITH THE FIRST COVER which has the girls seated on stools. This cover was quickly withdrawn and re-packaged with a cover which featured a photo close-up of the group! This is only the second time in 30 plus years I've had this LP! It is much rarer than one would think! This was their first LP and contains their first two hits: I Want A Guy and Buttered Popcorn, plus their current hit Your Heart Belongs To Me. The label is the original press, which is dark blue.
Small wear rubs on front cover, water stain along right side of rear cover and lightly on left side of rear cover, price of $2.89 written upper left of rear cover in ink, small number in ink upper right rear cover, corner rubs upper and lower left,clean seam split upper and lower right at seam opening.
Cover is VG+, record has slight spindle mark and is also VG+.
