THE SURREALISTIC PILLAR-45-“I Like Girls” b/w “Mexican Calliope”-Tamm Records #T-2027-KillerKool 1967 Lafayette LOUISIANA Garage-Punk. Most of you know the MEGA-cool A side from assorted LA comps-if not, A side is dual-guitar-Farfisa organ driven, with an ongoing crude lead guitar riff throughout, great guttural and somewhat tortured lead vocal, really quick and crude lead break, cool lyrics; structure based on “Louie Louie” chords … great number … B side is a laid-back guitar dominated instrumental-I know this sounds funny-reminds me of ‘Black Magic Woman’ (Santana’s version)-I know-pre-dates by a few years!
Condition: Record is close to Mint-Minus ; near PERFECT copy. Some slight background noise evident on B side; also a very slight small storage warp; really hard to notice.
Label clean both sides
